Night Colors

The adventure of three young men (Giorgio, Mattia, and Enrico) in their hometown. The nocturnal settings and the subtle line between reality and the surreal accompany the boys throughout the story. We find the Three playing poker at Giorgio's house, caught up in the usual boring and oppressive evening. Enrico then decides to take matters into his own hands, suggesting they go out to seek new inspiration. The city immediately presents itself as a hostile place, with deserted streets and damp, rough walls. As they journey through these settings, they encounter some truly surreal characters. First, they encounter the Lykhnos, who act as the city's eyes; then the tattoo artist intent on enchanting the protagonists; and finally, the group of friends who (metaphorically) imprison Enrico within the city. In the finale, a disconsolate Mattia comes face to face with his conscience, marking a turning point in his life. Giorgio, after being overcome by fear for everything he has experienced in this adventure, ends up running away from the city.
