Onboard the spaceship, a Phononauta roams space like a diviner, an astonished witness to astral transformations. He collects data for the Galactic Atlase, a synthetic intelligence that safeguards the memory of the universe.
Analog/digital, acoustic/electronic, micro/macroscopic, order/disorder—these are some of the dichotomies at play in the sonic and conceptual dialectic of this film, created with handcrafted sets and digital enhancements to reconstruct the infinitely vast through the infinitely small. A journey of exploration that traverses boundlessness and alienation, leading to the wonder of the unknown.
