Pietra

Church of San Pietro d'Infine, Italy, October 8, 1943. A young woman, Elena, stands in the choir accompanied by a gallant man. An intruder enters the nave. Seemingly drunk he seems determined to cause chaos. Elena recognizes him as Silvio and, exasperated, storms out, mentioning her break-up with him. This film pays homage to Italian classics while also reflecting on the spectral essence of cinematograph.
