After working for several years in teaching, Katia Kissina studied screenwriting in Madrid and gradually began to work in film. She began by making films in workshops with her students and participated in other projects as a screenwriter. In 2016, she directed her first self-produced short film, Dear Mr. Principal, in which she paints a poetic portrait of her students. With The Use of the Past Participle, her first film actually produced, she dedicates her poetic vision to teachers this time.
